Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Hold a valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • Be able to pass a background check and drug screening

No prior trade experience is required.

  2. Receive a list of WBFAA member companies currently hiring
  3. Contact companies directly to arrange interviews
  4. Accept an employment offer
  5. Register as an apprentice and begin your training

The application process takes only a few minutes, and there is no fee. Once submitted, your information is automatically shared with participating companies through our secure database.

Is the program full-time?

Yes. Apprentices must work full-time to complete 6,000 on-the-job training hours over three years.
